2 Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your internal accounts including the social media accounts by sending an one-time password (OTP) to your registered mobile number, therefore even if someone gets to know the password of your account, the user won’t be able to login and access your account unless the person has access to your mobile phone and therefore the text message.
You must enable 2FA on your internet accounts including your email service, social media accounts and other critical internet accounts that holds your private information.
