How to DESCRIBE Table in MySql?

As a Database creator/ administrator, you would like to know the schema of the database.

For that purpose, there is a command DESC which stands for DESCRIBE.

Syntax:

DESC table_name;

As soon as you will put that, you will see the schema of the table as the result.

For example:

DESC student gives the below result:

Field Type Null Key Default Extra
student_id smallint(6) NO PRI NULL
uni_name varchar(60) NO PRI NULL
course varchar(15) YES   NULL
